To the Parents and Supporters of McNary High School Fine Arts Students,

Welcome to a new and exciting year of activities in the McNary Fine Arts Department as we continue to build upon last year’s success!  Your Educators in Visual and Performing Arts are working to provide your student the best possible introduction to and development of artistic interest and skill.  We believe that the community we are developing in our classrooms allows for a rich and safe environment for your child.  In this place they can develop social skills, explore their creative interests and develop self-confidence and an awareness of their potential.

With your help these past years we have raised over $30,000 for students in the Fine Arts!  Of that money, we have distributed over $10,000 in scholarships for students moving onto college, many pursuing the arts.  This year we introduced Studio Production and Introduction to Recording Arts and Sciences into our schedule so students may build skills toward college and career opportunities in audio/video performance, production, recording and editing.

We work with over half the student population at McNary every day, providing training for real world careers and opportunities that enhance your student’s experience in the Fine Arts.

How can you help keep this momentum going?

There are a number of ways that your help would benefit our students:

·         Volunteer to assist at our fundraisers and concerts

·         Assist with our Knight of Arts Show and Auction

·         Monetary contributions to the program

·         Provide Silent Auction items for the Knight of Arts Auction

·         Help solicit business contacts and donations

Your help and support have allowed us to move quickly toward providing the most unique and well-rounded Arts Education in the Salem/Keizer area!

We hope that you will join us in the activities that the Fine Arts Department provides for your students and the greater Keizer community this year.  Thank you for your support!
